Picked up this little RCA RD1076 unit on October 19th for $40 CDN (about $35 USD) and found it to... from Cnet.com Another reviewer said that only partial space is available on a 1 gig SD card. I have the 512 Meg version Lyra and when I plug in a 1 gig SD card the card is not recognized at all, (512 and smaller worked fine). Another problem is the unit has a tendency to 'lock-up' and the only way I've found to recover is to remove and replace the battery. from Pricegrabber.com RCA does not stand behind is product! I bought an MP3 that they admit is DEFFECTIVE but they will charge me $62 for a replacement when I paid $59 for it at a local store! from Amazon.com I bought an RD1076 this week after 2 years of using the smaller RD1072 (256MB). Two days later I returned the it to the store. from Amazon.com The user interface and features on the Lyra don't compared to either the 2000 Rio or the 2006 Sansa. Sadly, Rio exited the business, but the SanDisk product is at least as good. Plus, for the same price I paid 7 months ago for the 512 Mb Lyra, I got a 1 Gb Sansa.
