In the past 3 years I have had to have my Archos unit REPLACED 4 times due to faulty hardware, poor program operations, and overall sloppy manufacturing. Of the dozens of hours of video we recorded with the Archos unit, we have been able to use less than 15 minutes of it overall. from Tigerdirect.com This product is amazing. I've not yet had a problem with mine, except when I cracked the LCD because I didn't have a case for it, but Archos quickly shipped me a new one at no cost. It plays videos in great quality, and the sound on it is great, with a highly customizable EQ. from Tigerdirect.com I used it the night before and the next day it would not power up. I guess I should have sent it in but took it apart instead. Not everything is Wonderful with this particular model. The 404 has a built in battery, like the ipod when it goes down you have to pay to repair the thing. TigerDirect did a poor job handling my order and return so after I returned it and upgraded with Amazon to a 604 Wifi, for 19 dollars more!!!!! from Amazon.com This is a great Multi-Media player.
