in general it is a great product, covered all my expectations is the only detail is that the volume is somewhat lower than the 1st generation ipod, do not know if it will be an apple would make
i love the fact that this devise replaces my palm and mp3 player plus makes it possible to read books.
i suppose reading up on how to use it would have been useful, but as a young adult in this society, if i have to read an instruction manual for an mp3 player, i probably shouldn't have the right own
even at low volume i can hear really clearly with the ear phones that came with the product.
there was no way i could know at the time that apple would put out the same awesome product with a lighter, thinner form factor, a built-in speaker, physical volume controls, and a big price drop.
what's great about it:?great sound quality with eq mode, sleek design, not big at all, nice color what's not so great:?uses hard drive so media playback is slower than the touch "this is the best
eventually a couple of years back (after having made my way thru a horde of mp3 players) i found a deal thru my audio book club to have an mp3 player purchased at almost no cost to myself, so long as
what's great about it:?books, movies and music all in one little player what's not so great:?battery doesn't last long enough "i love my ipod.
what's great about it:?easy to upload music and books, great for travel what's not so great:?ear plugs do not fit well in your ears and fall out alot "i love that it's so easy to use, just plug it
i code my songs at 320 for the best sound quality and i have over 2000 songs on it so far & 19 videos and still have 99gb left!
i love this ipod..i use it in my car because i have an auxilary input and the sound quality is really good compared to other mp3 players.
it is more streamlined in size, has better digital sound quality than earlier versions, and displays video sharply on a large screen for the size of the unit.
a 2 hour movie, played phase for at least an hour, listened to an hour of an audiobook, watched three 20 minute anderson cooper podcasts among others, looked at pictures and listened to music.
while it wasn't quite as "plug and play" as i might have hoped, it was user error on my part that slowed me down getting audio books loaded.
but after reading all the reviews of the mp3 players available, i decided to go with an ipod - and i'm glad i did.
the sound quality, though, is fantastic.
if you listen to audio books or podcasts it is nice to be able to fast forward and rewind.
my cd audio books were interpreted as songs and no way able to get it into the audiobooks folder, unless it's purchased from itunes.
about half the time i use it as an e-book reader and it's vastly superior to the kindle (which i've tried) and the sony reader (which i own).
i put books on tape, bible on cd, prayers, and all kinds of music on it.
i like the fact that you can limit the volume control when you plug it in to your computer, so no matter how high they feel like turning it up on the actual shuffle you have already set it to a
i was reading the reviews of the shuffle and was somehow aggravated.
but i think mine is damaged, because the volume is low even at maximun, creating distortion
when trying to change the song while running, changing the volume was difficult.
i have to adjust the volume on practically every song.
an hour and a half and the battery never died, i have owned a sandisk and coby mp3 players and neither compare to the ease of use, sound quality, or the wearability that the ipod shuffle offers!!!
the sound quality really depends on the digital media you put onto it, but the headphones are nice and loud.
i like to listen to audio books and it has worked perfect for that.
you know how to use it without reading the instructions.
if you workout and like to listen to music or audio books, this is the best mp3 player you can get.
today i listen to all my music through this awesome device, read books, listen to podcasts you name it.
dear apple i hope you are reading this, please let me select my own eq settings.
he has put every album on it that he owns plus many books on tapes and radio shows from cds and still has tons of room left.
the screen is incredibly easy to use, and the ability to keep all of my audiobooks (monthy downloads from audible) on it means that i've always got the next novel ready when i'm bookin' down the road.
i purchased it because i drive a lot and like to listen to books.
the ipod came un good conditions apparently, but when i started to play audiobooks or songs, sometimes it jumps to the next song without any reason...
it works great and the sound quality is amazing.
the sound quality is excellent and the number of songs held makes it a great product for music lovers.
i had some difficulty figuring out how to change the volume and use the menu (if i had read the simple little pamphlet it would have helped...i finally did read it and solved my problems..) i thought
the battery life could be better for podcasts and audio books, but since i've not had a need to listen to anything for 3 or 4 hours non-stop, it's not been a problem for me.
i purchased the 16gb orange version of this with the idea of using it for music and audio books.
i haven't read the book yet to figure out all the fun things this new generation does, but the basic use it really simple.
