it has been a reliable file server in my home for several months now.for office applications i think its performance might be too low for some -- especially if you want to run vista and aero.

video capability is good, but not great -- under windows, mine chokes on h264 files or 720p and up, though the linux box does somewhat better for some reason, and a guy at work who also bought one
