Pros: Decent layout, easy setup.. My config:2x X5560 Xeon 2.8GHz w/ active BXSTS100C HSF12GB (6x2) Crucial unbuffered DDR3 13332x 1.5TB Seagate HDDs RAID-1 (yeah, I know, but that's what we had available. So far, so good)Sparkle 500 Watt 1U server PSU from Newegg.com Pros: Fast and rock solid so far. Going to be one sweet VM server. Config:2 x Xeon E5530S5520HC obviously12GB RAM 6 x 2GB Unbuffered ECC - 24GB or more someday. Areca array and Intel ICH10R arrayCorsair TX850W power supply. from Newegg.com Pros: I built two systems using; Intel SC5520HC, two Xeon E5520, Intel BXSTS100A heat sinks, and Super Talent OX FTM16GL26H 2.5” 16 GB SDD, ALL from NewEgg. I used 24 GB Kingston KVR1066D3E7SK3/6GI unbuffered ECC DIMMs DDR3 1066Mhz memory, which is very economical and is the fastest memory the E5520 processer can use plus it’s on the Intel approved list. from Newegg.com Pros: Intel's rock solid Matrix Raid chip - way better than the stuff you get on most boards (JMicron, I'm looking at YOU).
