Pros: New Egg's reasonable shipping charges, quick delivery, & return policy. Cons: This is my 2nd experience with DFI MB's, & like the last time, it didn't go well. DFI has been infamous for years with their common "C1" post error code. from Newegg.com Finally after 2 days I got so frustrated I sent it back and ordered a new board. ASUS board worked fine and it still running. ASUS has never steered me wrong before, but I figured I'd give DFI a shot. Swing and a miss. from Newegg.com Pros: -CHEAP!!!-Unlike what newegg says, this board is AM3 ready and comes with a sticker that says so-Nice looking PCB-Amazing bios and overclocking-790FX w/ SB750, you get x16/x16 xfire and all the RAID features from SB along with core unlocking with ACC-LED post codes-Very stable voltage delivery from efficient digital PWM Cons: -NB runs hot, you will need a fan on the NB or heatpipe leading to it to keep it cool-No clear CMOS button. How hard is it to put one on nowadays?-CPU-NB VID is entered in hexadecimal instead of like normal-Only comes with 2 SATA cables in a time when 4 seems to be the standard-Manual is worthless except for POST codes, but I think anyone buying a DFI board knows what they're doing Other Thoughts: Setup:M2RSHx3 720 @ 3.8ghz 1.45vOCZ Platinum 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 1.95v with NB @ 2600mhz2x Sapphire 4870 1gb in crossfireCorsair TX850W from Newegg.com Pros: well if the board would work i would write somthing nice about it, i'l re-review after RMA but overall its a great board supports am2+ and am3 Cons: Doa, first it had C1 error then after i set 1 stick of ram in and reset cmos it came up with 88 error Other Thoughts: would be a good board but the amount of doa boards shows that DFI really doesnt care from Newegg.com And can't get front panel audio to work (maybe I missed a setting in BIOS?). And had a problem with boot-up and stopping at USB failed but hasn't happened in a while so might have been the BIOS update fixed that(?). I have 2 of the DK 790FX M/B that this M/B seems to be based on and they both have been flawless, this M/B seems to be a little quircky. Other Thoughts: But now everything is up and running great. from Newegg.com Pros: Would be a good M/B, if it worked properly. I've already have 3 other DFI M/B and they all work great. Cons: Wouldn't boot at first, showing "88" error code. from Newegg.com Pros: Tons of Options, UV Reactive Cons: LAN has been iffy from the day I opened the box, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, very aggrivating. Other Thoughts: Good mobo, OC's well, but as with all my DFI mobo's so far, always have one issue or the other, seems to mostly be LAN always. from Newegg.com Pros: Wifes now,ran it through the ringer for her. All the usual DFI goodness.more Bios options than anyone could ask for,except maybe Oscar Wu. Overclocks like a dream. from Newegg.com Pros: Being a system builder I have used boards from Asus, Asrock, MSI, ECS and Gigabyte. All turn out quality product for various applications, but I was doing my own build, and a friend of mine turned me on to using this DFI board for the first time, I am glad I did. Its the most configurable, tweakable and overclockable motherboard I have ever had the pleasure to use. from Newegg.com I guess next time I will go with Asus or something. This overall has been a real let down. Other Thoughts: Won't buy another DFI board again. Their customer service wasn't very helpful at all either. from Newegg.com
