Pros: There are a few online reviews about this board and 2 things are always mentioned, Excellent quality and the SATA ports are upright instead of sideways and if you have a long video card, one or two SATA ports will not be usable but what the reviews fail to mention is that intel provides 6 SATA cbles with small profile L connectors that fit perfectly under the long video cards. Cons: the 2 auxiliary power connectors might be confusing but not needed for current hardware Other Thoughts: Yes, it overclocks from Newegg.com Pros: None Cons: Motherboard was DOA, called Intel, they said they were going to RMA, I paid for the shipping, a week later, they tell me it was physical damage. I told them I didn't even touch the board, they can't do anything because I didn't put the pnp cup on, escalated 3 times, they can't do anything about physical damage. from Newegg.com good audio. Cons: memory only 3 slots, fourth slot useless, but do you really need more ? Other Thoughts: Intel boards are good soild boards. No issues in Vista Ultimate x64 nor in Windows 7 x64 (Ult., Ent, Pro). Mine was promo at the time and included two games that I actually wanted! from Newegg.com There are a couple design flaws in my opinion. Glad to see there is no Jmicron junk on here for ATA support. Much better off buying some IDE to SATA connectors for older devices. System took a little bit to boot before bios flash, but no other real system quirks. from Newegg.com Pros: Easy to set up first time, easy SLI with two nvidia 8800GTX cards, after BIOS upgrade board enabled SLI after only checking preference box of nvidia driver software, installed win vista 64ultimate without problem Cons: froze during games occasionallyafter 4 months light use, and after good gaming session day before, would not boot, started ....stopped then spontaneously restarted all with no visible videopulled both 8800GTX's and tried a new MSI nvidia 260 board, still same problem (yes tried with and without extra power plug)tried resetting bios, etc. still attempting to troubleshooti too wanted this board for legendary intel reliability, but i'm beginning to think mobo at fault ... from Newegg.com
