Seemed okay for a while at 2.2ghz/800mhz RAM so I tried to update the BIOS. Crashed halfway through, so now it is bricked. Other Thoughts: Second and last Asrock product I'm ever gonna buy. from Newegg.com Pros: Um DOA Cons: dead on arrival, northbridge heatsink was off, as in not attached correctly, so i tried to put it back on and guess what board does not boot, im waiting for newegg to send me a new one, this is the 3rd asrock motherboard in about 3 years that i have had dead on arrival. I want a new one and am hoping newegg will send me one given my history of buying from them. from Newegg.com Pros: Nice specifications Cons: Motherboard doesn't post at all. The board came with the P1.00 BIOS from Newegg.com Pros: Good price, looked like it had nice features and layout Cons: DOA. from Newegg.com Pros: Same as everyone else. Cons: Onboard graphics did not work so I had to send it back. from Newegg.com Pros: Solid board with crossfire support can easily support 8gigs ram without a sweat at jedec specs overall solid built good placement of sata ports pcie x16 slots have proper spacegood bios support and easy to update bios bios are well laid out could use a few more voltage options to better keep things in check Cons: board has MAJOR issues with cpu v core with vcore at 1.3volts it jumps as high as 1.45 volts during operation basically if your overclocking beware as if u push a phenom II to the limits this board may very well degrade the chip do to shoddy v core regulation. high pitches squealing coming from the mosfets my guess is the board can barely supply proper power to my 940 at stock so OCers bewarefirst PCIe x16 slot extremely close to cpu socket resulting in most cpu coolers eating heat from the gpu resulting in a hotter cpu. uses old switch card for crossfire come on asrock ur competitors offer same priced boards same features better reliability and dont need the old switch card to offer crossfire from Newegg.com Pros: Unlocked my 4th core (550BE Callisto). Cons: Cannot install pcie sound card. from Newegg.com
