its a great mb but the ram never runs past 400mhz! and its not the ram cuase ive changed it 3 times! from Compusa.com OTHERWISE KNOWN AS JUNK, had this board and loved it, decided to update my bios of 0903 on asus's site, KILLED my hard drive recognition in bios, if your SMART stay away or dont go to 0903 bios from Compusa.com Pros: Board runs good. Everything installed. Cons: Board DOES NOT TRULY SUPPORT 1066. Max voltage is only 2.25v where most 1066 require 2.65v. from Compusa.com I just finished RMA'ing it so hopefully I'll get a refund. I'm also pretty sure I wasn't even sent this board. I ordered the open-box M3A78-EM and I got an open-box M3N78-EM which is really just a crappier version of this board and I'm highly disappointed with newegg at that point. But I'm going to suck it up and order the retail version of the M3A78-EM. from Newegg.com Pros: Great motherboard, worked right out of the box perfectly. I was a bit worried due to a bad issue with my last ASUS board, but it is running fine. Cons: See below Other Thoughts: I don't list this as a con, but it did not make me happy - When I got the motherboard it was factory sealed, but it did not come with any screws or studs. from Newegg.com I bought this motherboard to re-build my kid's system and it is a very nice and stable motherboard. I have been a fan of ASUS motherboards and their technology for years now and I have had only one motherboard ever go bad on me and it was a bad power supply that took it out. I have overclocked my kids CPU (2.4GH to 2.8GH) to test the waters and it ran like a champ without lockups. from Amazon.com Pros: Its an Asus. Nicely laid out, no problems with install, fits case perfectly. from Newegg.com oh geez. Go away. Cons: They keep running out of stock of this and the pro version Other Thoughts: I want more selection from ASUS for AM2+/AM2/AM3 compatibility! from Newegg.com Pros: Asus makes a great quality board. Plenty of features, but no frills. from Newegg.com Also did not work! Now computer has been in shop more than two months! So I can`t say , I would tell anyone to by an ASUS mother board!!
