Pros: Nice looking board Cons: This board is terrible when I try to load windows xp on it it keeps on giving me the blue sceen of death and it's updating is slow and programs won't install right or has big errors during installation. Other Thoughts: I will never buy asus again because this is the third shotty board I have gotten. from Newegg.com Pros: It was easy to install...? Hangs when trying to install any OS, XP, Windows 7, Vista. from Newegg.com Pros: Socket AM2/AM2+ meant I could reuse my Athlon X2 5600+, eSata is standalone - you don't have to lose a SATA port and run a cable across your motherboard, 5 SATA-2 ports, plenty of USB 2.0 ports, good placement of SATA ports Cons: This board DOES NOT support more than 3GB RAM. I tried multiple sticks of DDR2-533, 667 and 800 and with anything more than 3GB RAM memtest would generate errors on different slots at different addresses. from Newegg.com Pros: None... the board is overpriced garbage, you'd think you're getting a decent quality board because it's ASUS but those days are over Cons: BAD on board sound, I know all on board is bad but the crackling is ridiculous, All kinds of temperature problems, you don't believe it look up overheating and the boards model number on google. I wish I researched it more before I purchased it. from Newegg.com Pros: Does what its supposed to do ALMOST,Bought it on a budget and was looking forward to upgrades,ie CPU GPU and ram Cons: My first upgrade was the Phenom II x3 720 BE,needed to flash bios to accomidate CPU,no problems doing so,But should have known better when the specs on BIOS said CANNOT revert back to old BIOS,Low and behold my HT oppitions in BIOS were limited to 2000 Mghz not 2600Mghz,like i had with my 5600+x64,The 600Mghz deduction limits the capabilities of the new AM3 cpu's,next upgrade was 1066 ram which i could not get to run stable dispite 4-5 calls to asus SERVICE TECH's,If you read the FINE print on ALL ASUS products it will read,ALL specs Subject to change without notice Other Thoughts: The only logical conclusion i can come up w is THIS is STRICKLY a MARKETING PLOY by ASUS,limit the perforance and the consumer will upgrade the MOBO,and dont expect ASUS to tell you that,they need jobs too! any rate Buy this board if you want to cruz the web and read e mail but dont expect much performanc boost from expensive Upgrades from Newegg.com Pros: None right now!
