Pros: 8 slots, works with the e5405, no problemes with games windows vista or anything. Cons: it only takes 1,2,4, or 8 sticks of ram no were in between. No overclocking. from Newegg.com Lots of options, SAS/SATA and pure SATA ports; everything you would want from a high-end server mobo. Cons: 1) Minor con: connectors for case buttons / USB / etc. are poorly documented and in some cases involve different connectors at right angles to each other. Easy enough to resolve with existing documentation and trial&error.2) MAJOR CON: no drivers for Server 2008! from Newegg.com Cons: Newegg's description. Other Thoughts: The manufacturer says that this board is the LGA 771 socket, while newegg states that this board is the standard 771. Just keep in mind that normal/old processors had the copper pins on the processor, the LGA means that the copper pins are on the motherboard. You can't put an LGA processor into a non LGA motherboard, nor can you put a non LGA processor into a LGA motherboard. from Newegg.com Pros: I wrote earlier about the product. Well it still works and I plucked up the courage to flash the BIOS. The board does restart now, it also doesn't use 100% fans on start up, boots faster, reports memory correctly to Vista, and doesn't freeze up on S3 sleep states. Cons: The board will "shutdown", but hangs when attempting restart. Investigated and saw that there was newer beta bios that solved a similar issues but no luck. from Newegg.com Pros: What can I say, so far it runs Vista's Aero swimingly with two Clovertown 3.0ghz processors and 8 gigs of rams, a nVidia 9800 GX, a coolermaster 1000 case, an LG bluray-hdvd reader etc.... and a rosewell ethernet card. from Newegg.com
