Installation was easy. I appreciate the support for dual video PCI-Express x16 cards. Asus is no longer an option... from Newegg.com Other Thoughts: i built my pc on a budget. this isnt my first build. system specs:p5nsli mobo/pc power and cooling 610 silencer with single 12 volt rail/pentium D 3.2ghz cpu/4x512 ddr2 667mhz running stock at full 667mhz/sata2 hdd with win xp/ 2x256mb pny 7900gs cards in sli mode/11case fans in various areas for max cooling/hard drive cooler/soundblaster 24bit sound card hooked to yamaha amp with sorround sound speakers/ its been running flawlessly for over 5 months and have no problems at all. awsome budget board that does everything i ask of it... from Newegg.com I thought I was investing in a decent board but I'm not so sure. But since I have 4 legacy ide devices it was the only board that allowed me to use my old parts. I'm confused with the memory problems I've had and the ASUS BIOS overclocking really appealed to me but I've not had any suceess using it and the auto recovery just doesn't seem to work as advertised. from Newegg.com and had to yank the north bridge to add active cooling to both north and south bridge... took along time to get it to reconize my ram... over all the last asus prodcut i buy.. ever. from Newegg.com Attempted to run DDR2-667 in all 4 slots. Windows would not load and continually froze. Attempet to run 2 slots as ASUS advised. Same outcome. from Newegg.com Ya just have to play with it. Yea the northbridge runs somewhat hot but with good case air flow its not a prob. I dont use asus probe so I cant speak of the probs some report with it. I also do all my oc'ing manually. from Newegg.com Comes with Vista Drivers. Cons: Two of the programs that ship with this board don't work well. ASUS Probe II and AI booster. Cause errors. from Newegg.com Pros: ZERO! Cons: One big disappointment, can't boot (change PSU, change RAM..etc) I can't believe ASUS released this product. With 15 years experiences using ASUS's motherboard., I never have problem but this time I couldn't believe it. from Newegg.com
