also has onboard video so it's good for a desktop computer as well as a gaming computer.
it's great for someone looking to put together a budget core 2 duo system that can handle modern games.
it plays all of my games fine however, if it didn't it would be shipped straight back.
it's cheap and has been reliable so far.
for the price it is very reliable.
can run 4 gpu's sli( 3@ 16) makes it nice for gaming!
31c avg--boots at 26c--have not seen it over 37c even after and during heavy gaming time.
i have it sitting in a antec 900 with a fan on the side and every piece of hardware that's is in the case doesn't go over 50c in a gaming session.
fan that came with it is very audible but moves a fair amount of air.can't seem to get the bios to go past 6 cas latency for memory, so memory with higher timings may not run stable at 1066 without a
other thoughts: and all around great gaming board for the serious gamer to the casual.
it is fast enough to handle all the pc games my daughter has installed and the integrated graphics haven't had any lags or visual corruption in the games.
the built on ati 3200 enables it to playback hd @ 1080 and play games fairly well within reason.
with it set to "limit" you can overclock up to it and it will be completely stable.
this board with a better video card would be great for some heavy gaming with the 3450 in hybrid sli mode you will get good gaming on some games pre 2007 and even some modern games just don't expect
other thoughts: using this board for a mid range gaming machine.
it is the best upgrade if you wanna check email, facebook, myspace, etc...maybe even a little gaming with a good graphics card!
it has a featured called fox intelligent stepping which needs to raise the pci-e rather dramatically in tandem with the cpu; the highest i could get it stable (with an e5200) was 240/115, and i
but i knew that when i got the board, not a big deal for me since i'm not much of a gamer, but good to know if you are.
runs super stable even oc'd.
this board is a suprisingly good and stable overclocker.
but so far it has been a solid, stable board for the price.
also, this board is very stable!
stable and good bios adjustability for ocer's i purchased this board for a simple build for some freinds, whose dell took a dirt nap.
pros: this thing is stable!
you can overclock so it's good for those gamers too but since it doesn't have pcie 2.0 x16 slots, you can't really get any of the new video cards.
other thoughts: this is obviously not a gamers board, but it's no slouch either.
other thoughts: i built this mobo into a budget gaming system, and the onboard video has served me fine for casual gaming.
onboard video is enough for everything but gaming.
needless to say, the on board graphics just can't handle the game so i threw in a nvidia 8600gt.
