where i said this 24" monitor has more room then a 12" monitor, as far as actual real hight goes, i meant to say, it was a 21" monitor, not a 12".i measured the real hight of my 21" crt to this one
even so, it's a fantastic monitor - much better than the "generic" 24" monitor i have at work.
and now a 24" samsung computer monitor which is a lot bigger than the 19" hp that it replaced.
i upgraded from a 19" monitor to this super-sized 24" monitor and the difference is amazing.
i had to go to a store to see how big a 24" monitor was after i placed the order.
it's rather expensive, but the specs are nice and it's a 24".
as stated earlier, i previously owned a 19" lcd and i went with a 24" lcd monitor to compliment my sapphire overclocked 4890 video card.
a 24" lcd screen for $299-$20 promo sale, received it 2 days after ordering it, free shipping, and no tax!
other thoughts: 24" is a big enough pc monitor for me.
24" is amazing for video games and the response times are such that you'll never have an issue w/ ghosting, etc.
and with a 24" monitor you can be sure you'll be looking at the left and right edges off-angle even if you're looking straight at the middle of the panel.
this is the very bottom limit for an acceptable 24" monitor.
i would recommend this to anyone looking for a 24" ips monitor.
i also bought a 24" samsung t240hd and i was so dissapointed with it i returned it.
-size 24"!
i wanted a 24", but as it appears viewsoinc is not currently making one with similar stats, i just chose to get the 22 for now.
people complain about the blue light, doesn't bother me, maybe if i had it in a very small room trying to sleep other thoughts: i wanted a 24" but the 21.5 wide is very nice, esp with the 2ms
if you want a great hd monitor, but don't feel like spending the extra cash to go up to 24", this is a good choice, though there are others that are cheaper.
this replaced a dell ultra sharp 24" and, no, it's not quite as good as that, but the dell has no hdmi and it's not hdcp compliant, so no blu-ray movies.
i almost got a 24" acer but i am glad i did not it woulda been to big for my desk and much lower quality then viewsonic from what i have seen.
that fixed it for me.my system:e8500 (stock)gigabyte p45 ud3pocz reaper 4gb 1066 (stock)corsair 750txthermaltake elements7200rpm 1tb hdacer 24" 1080p h243hbmid
other thoughts: if you were looking into a 24" this is a great monitor, i have no buyers remorse.
next, once i chose the model (hbmid) i went for the 24" model since 60 dollars seemed fair for an extra inch and i knew i would regret it if i went for the 23" version.
pros: -inexpensive for 24"-vga, dvi, hdmi connections with included cables-3 year warranty cons: -colors not vibrant.-calibration is impossible.-touch controls are awful.-i'm not an audiophile
pros: not bad $$$ for what you get.free shipping!it's a very big monitor.nice looking power and menu buttons.nice gloss, looks nice and clean.not to heavy for a 24", i was expecting it to be much
if you're looking for a new 24" wide screen monitor you owe it to yourself to purchase this unit.
a little pricier than avg 24", but samsung makes a great product.
it's crisp and clear and the size of the 24" screen is amazing for everything from gaming to movie watching to graphic design.
the 22" has lower resolution, and the 24" has a built-in tv tuner, driving the price up.
as there are other decent quality 24" lcd monitors in the market that are also cheaper.
reviewi have several monitors and by far my 24" dell i bought 3 years ago has spoiled me to criticize this monitors flaws.
this monitor has the same real estate as a 24" but takes up a less room.
the 24" acer i've had for a couple of years looked great next to my 5+ year-old 19", but this samsung's even better.
just the right size; 24" just seemed to big.
if you're primary going to be doing graphics work, i'd look at something like hp's 24" h-ips monitor instead for a hundred bucks more).
other thoughts: the outside measurements of this monitor are 24" wide x 17" high.
i was nervous that that res, stretched from 24" to 25.5" may result in a noticeable increase in dot-pitch, but it didn't.
i still get extremly sharp text even tho the monitor carries a resolution of most 24"s.
i finally decided that after all the reviews on the 24" that the 26" would fit me perfectly.
i was looking at a 24" apple monitor to go with my new mac pro, and while this is not quite as sharp, it is really close.
it fit a 24" wide opening perfectly.
i have had a better monitor with apples but when you look at the price of this monitor vs either a $1000 or $1500 for a 24" or 30" apple the price has to make this a 5 star purchase.
i'm using this monitor for design, and compared to my 24" dell (also 1920x1200) this monitor is very similar, but exhibits quite a bit more color shift vertically.
response time is for sure fast and as for the other performance claims, well i can only tell you it is more beautiful than my tft samsumg syncmaster 19" and just as beautiful as my sumsung toc 24".
;) other thoughts: i also own the acer 24" 1080p 20000:1 ratio monitor.
im not getting any light bleeding yet.1 of the best 24" tn panel monitors for gaming cons: 1 stuck blue pixel is enough for me to consider the monitor flawed and for that if i bought it again i
the image quality is great and the response time is for sure fast and as for the other performance claims, well i can only tell you it is more beautiful than my tft samsumg syncmaster 19" and just as
pros: size: 24".
when i started monitor shopping, i wanted something for my bedroom that could double as a second monitor for my 24" imac and a display for my xbox 360.
i wished i could of picked up the 24" version when newegg was offering for 219.99, but i was too late.
i almost got a different 24" monitor because of some of the reviews on this, but i'm glad i got this one.with my current system (sapphire/ati card with vga and dvi out) i get a poor vga image, but
now i'm running dual monitors with this and a 24" benq.
the 24" version of this monitor is great - this one is aweful!
pros: i bought this monitor to install in the back of my semi on wall mount because i had bought a 24" samsung that i didnt check before hand couldnt be wall mounted..
