Wize Buying Guide for Eyesight

If you spend any time at all in front of a computer monitor, you know how important a good monitor can be. To avoid eye strain and headaches, there are some important features that can make your monitor easier on your eyes.

Brightness

300 cd/m2 is a good level of brightness - too bright for some! Brightness will keep you from straining your eyes when a monitor isn't lit well.

Dot Pitch

For a monitor that displays crisp, clear images, look for one that has a dot pitch of 0.25-0.28mm. Anything larger and your monitor will appear to be slightly fuzzy even when seated at a normal distance.

DVI vs VGA

DVI provides an all digital signal that results in a much sharper, clean image, which allows your eyes to work less to focus on the screen. If your computer supports it, it is highly recommended to get a monitor with a DVI input.
