here @ newegg) it ran @ 1680x1050, i noticed a significant increase in the video quality in all of my games when i switched to this monitor running @ 1920x1080, true hd really makes a difference.
my games look amazing on this monitor.
the desk that i have at home is extremely hefty, so much so that if you bump into it, anything sitting on top of it will experience very minimal movement.
this monitor is so vibrant and crisp and has no flaws that i can see as of yet.
the one thing i did find is that the way i sit and view the monitor i tend to stare and lean forward because the screen is so clear that i can run pages reduced in size.
it is a promo model, now i think i paid full fair market price for a full retail product, and got a promo model, some one saved about a hundred bucks getting a promo model from hp but i don't think
decent pixel response and somewhat low input delay makes it very usable as a gaming monitor as well.
the monitor is quiet, and it does not produce excessive heat with appropriate brightness setting.this monitor is fast enough for gaming.
i can't comment on gaming and things like that, i don't play games too much on this monitor, and for those rare occasions when i do, it seems good enough.
it is a good multipurpose monitor which is accurate enough for design work, is speedy enough for video games, has the plugins to connect just about any piece of home theater equipment directly to the
since i do need glasses now, we decided to look for a bigger monitor.?
how do people put up with 7 dead pixels!?!-don't sit to close to it or games might make you nauseous other thoughts: touch osd buttons are sexy/vanish when the monitor is offbezel looks great
there were no dead pix, simple touch controls on the monitor makes it easy for me to switch from it being my pc monitor to my xbox monitor with a simple tap of the input button.
i bought the first one at bb, and i liked it so much, i bought a second one from newegg along with the planar dual monitor stand (item n82e16824995006), and both fit with room to spare.
(see "an acre of acer" further down.) i've put some more hours in with this acer (gaming, videos, general internet) and it continues to impress.
this monitor was the following:1.conectivity hdmi, dvi and d-sub2.sharp resolution 1920x1080 on a 21 inch screen3.aspect ratio 16:9 not 16:10 so movies scale properly and future games will too.4.
dvi & analog inputs so you're covered*great response time using hdmi*dvi cable includedif you're looking for a monitor that won't disappoint even gamers at a great price, this is the one for you!!
i use my monitor as the display for both my pc and my xbox 360.
i don't do a lot of gaming or watch hd movies but i feel that with this monitor and the hd card i am getting an extremely high resolution viewing experience with all apps.
i will say that having this one monitor is working for me right now.
i am a heavy gamer and it is the best monitor ive used as far as refresh.
other thoughts: i was so happy to get my new monitor, with 1080p picture quality as iam going to have it double as my tv in my bedroom but...
i use this monitor for reaserch, gaming, and rendering.
it did necessitate a video card upgrade in order to enjoy my games in their full splendor - the good old 8800gt/g92 was ditched in favor of a new 4890, also purchased from the 'egg.
for some night gamers this might be a little issue, or black tape it.
i am running sli 9800gtx cards and when i run a graphically demanding game such as crysis the monitor tends to have glitches as if it is not refreshing quick enough.
it does have the "fun" button which if you are a gamer and your game doesn't have the native resolution of this widescreen format it makes it very easy to change and have to mess with the adjustments
since i am a gamer, fast response time is a must, and this monitor has the fastest response time in this price range that i could find.
no burned pixels, perfect second monitor for photoshop and premier pro editing.
it may be my sensitive eyes.
review: i've been using one of these for one of my personal computer at home.
i like this monitor every thing works great easy setup it replaces my old dell crt monitor clear picture.
the picture quality looks just as good if not better than the dell monitor it replaced.
the video and audio are excellent and i recommend this product for any in-home office.
excellent product displaying large screen with clear print, a necessity for aging eyes!
there is no discernible effect of this mismatch on using it to watch internet video or tv [that looks awesome on this large wide screen], but it does lead to ghosting of some text lines when used as
we also have a samsung 2443 bwx at home, and it has much the same issues as this monitor.
i've played audiosurf and hl2:e2 on this monitor extensively, and i've come to the conclusion that this is an excellent gaming monitor...
like my old vx922, it performs perfectly for any game thrown at it.
tested most of my games, blu-ray movies and other hd sources, and it a dream!
As an IT consultant, I have the opportunity to work with most types and brands of monitors.
As stated in the title, no matter what it portrays, this monitor does a superior job in its image quality.
It's a dream monitor for everyday use and gaming.
Excellent Monitor--Excellent Price & Excellent Delivery!!!
Excellent, is a pc monitor, but a tv functions, more cheap like a lcd tv.
alot of people complain about the blue light in the middle but ive never once noticed it, those people must be watching it from far away, but when your up on the monitor gaming its non excisting.
other thoughts: this would be a good monitor for general use, but the color/brightness shift makes it not-so-great for photo editing or other color-sensitive work.
other thoughts: i mainly bought this monitor for my xbox360 but i'm also using it for my computer monitor.
the size of the screen seems to be just right for the games i play, any larger and it would be too big.
if you're looking for a monitor to double for your gaming system and pc, this is a great monitor to consider.
i think this is the largest and widest monitor that most home users want to have.
larger than this monitor on the desk might get your eyes tired.
all in all, a great monitor if you can get a deal on it, especially considering it can play ps3 movies/games at full resolution without stretching them.
this monitor is bright enough that you can see it easily even in a bright room, and there is very little glare off the screen.there were no dead pixels, and the setup is pretty easy once the stand is
there is a bit of backlight bleed but you really only see it when the monitor is completely black and all of the lights are off in the room.
mine came with 0 dead pixels :) as always newegg does an amazing job shipping the product, it said 3 days...
if you want to use it as a gaming monitor where you'll be sitting below it in a gaming chair, well that's a different story.
even so, it's a fantastic monitor - much better than the "generic" 24" monitor i have at work.
it's barely noticeable when using the monitor but when the computer is sleeping or powered off it flashes and seems way too bright in an otherwise darkened room.
where i said this 24" monitor has more room then a 12" monitor, as far as actual real hight goes, i meant to say, it was a 21" monitor, not a 12".i measured the real hight of my 21" crt to this one
First LCD monitor, can't complain!
Before i got this tv, i did a lot of research and read lots of reviews.
I bought the Acer H213H a few days ago, and it's making me feel bad!
I would recommend to anyone and everyone that this is your monitor.
-No headphone output from the monitor itself (thus the modified 360 AV cable and HDMI combination...
1 - This monitor has NO height or tilt adjustment (it actually comes 'pre-tilted' to a small forward angle);
I wish I could rate this monitor higher because for my purposes it's a five all the way however for someone looking to purchase it as the primary resource the deficiencies in ergonomics compared to other units in the same size range do not justify a ...
This is my secondary monitor for my laptop and works great.
Pros: Great looking monitor.
Pros: Nice looking monitor, good picture
This is an excellent monitor for the price.
I guess I should have gone with a more established brand for LCD monitors.
Pros: VERY big screen.
Pros: I have owned this monitor for going on 2 months.
When the new monitor arrived, it worked fine out of the box and has ever since.
even if i didn't have 'em its worth it, another great product from a manufacturer that has never let me down buy with total confidence moreover if you are familiar with the quality viewsonic gives
great display, it is supposed to be 120 hrtz screen but it flickers at that so i keep mine at 110 hrtz
I was skeptical at first about purchasing this monitor because it wasn't available anywhere else.
There are a lot of bad technical services around the world and after all those you have Viewsonic technical service.
It occurs with both samsung and view sonic screens LCDS (DLP's dont seem to have this issue).
Pros: very good screen, great picture
Pros: Nice large display.
I try to go to ASUS web page and still no drivers.
Pros: Big, sharp screen with great color.
Pros: This is an eggcellent monitor, sharp looks and great image.
for this price, you won't find a better monitor.i do video editing and audio production, so it's great to have the timeline stretch across this wide monster of a screen.i didn't have any problems
games look alot better with this monitor too.
it has made a huge difference in what i can see in games.
base in *i timed it* 30 seconds - it literally drops right in and stays secure...amazingly simple - you cant mess this up.everything is very crisp as you would expect - text, pictures, games, etc.
*ran out of room in "other thoughts"i first noticed the huge advantage having a good monitor is, in a game, or any other detail-orientated pc application.
I had been looking to get a new monitor when I got my new laptop (also an Asus), so when I saw the price drop on this one, that was almost the clincher.
Pros: 24 in with nice response time and added features that make it a well rounded daily use monitor.
It tilts a little top to bottom which my last monitor did not.
I upgraded from a standard 19" non-widescreen monitor, so this was amazing.
Pros: I love this monitor, it's really a thing of beauty.
H-IPS panel, 2560x1600, 12 but LUT that can be internally calibrated.
Pros: ***NO DEAD PIXELS***Compatible for high resolution for highend video cardsbuilt in calibrationvibrant colors.
Pros: Awesome!!
Pros: great colour instantly can tell a difference from old 30" panel.
Pros: Has display adjusting features other 30" monitors to not.
