I had a bad experience with this monitor (and Viewsonic) recently; I received the VA1926w after RMA'ing a VA1912wb which had an area of dark pixels at the top of the screen. After a lengthy RMA process (two months, not terrible, I suppose, but certainly not good) I received the VA1926w, and as it happened, the monitor sat, unused, for several months.
I originally ordered these monitors for each of my teenage kids as a Christmas present to replace older CRT's and to free up desk space. As a technology buff, I have been surprised to find myself shopping for electronics on Amazon; however, I must admit that I have been pleased with the selection of high-quality items available, the free shipping deals, and with their prices.
I'm happy with what I bought,when I upgrade my computer and video card I will be able to view full screen size.
Sharp. Bright.
We have many other monitors in our office and this one has brighter whites and the text is very sharp. Size is good for general use.
Pros: Bright picture, No Dead Pixels, Crisp clear images. Cons: none Other Thoughts: I have purchased several of these monitors for use in office environments, and unlike the other reviewers here, I (1) bought it from Newegg, and (2) it's actually the item listed here, not an older model. How can you bash a product because it looks like the one you have?
Pros: Good color, no dead pixles, Vista compatable. Used this monitor with both XP and Vista, and had no problems. Diver disk and analog cable included.
Pros: Nice Color, No Dead Pixels, I'm Not A Big Gamer But The Games I Do Play Ran Flawlessly Cons: I Have The VA1912wb Monitor and The Only Con Is That I Need Warranty Service And Can Not Get A Hold Of Viewsonic Other Thoughts: My monitor is an older version the VA1912wb I really like the monitor never had a problem with it no dead pixels a little light bleed thru but no big deal.
Pros: None Really Cons: I was given this LCD which appears to be a 1-1.5 years old. ViewSonics don't seem very reliable.
Pros: This monitor worked great for almost exactly 3 years. The picture was solid.
