well no surprises here that samsung has made a fantastic hd monitor that not only looks great, but has plenty of options and settings to change, which will suit just about anyone who uses it.

you can install the "magic tune" software (or whatever it's called) from samsung and it can control all sorts of features on the monitor, at least if you're using the dvi cable.

If you work or dabble in graphic design, you should invest in a good monitor. High quality monitors are easier on the eyes and provide a more accurate representation of how your work will look in print or on the web. There are a couple of aspects to consider when investing in a monitor for graphic design: the size, the contrast ratio, and the quality of the picture, as determined by the resolution. Most monitors now are wide screen, but you can still get a traditional full screen if you prefer, usually in a smaller size. A 22 inchwide screen is a good size without being too big. A 28 inch screen might require more desk space, and you may not be able to comfortably view everything on the screen without stepping back.
For image quality and depth, consider contrast ratio, that is, the difference between the absolute lightest and darkest colors the monitor can display. Ratios range from 600:1 to 3000:1, with a median resolution of about 1000:1. The greater the difference, the more strikingly different the colors will appear on your monitor. Also, take a look at the resolution capability of the monitor. 1280 x 1024 is the best possible and will provide sharp images even for small desk top icons. Resolution is adjustable, so check picture quality at lower resolutions before you buy.
