Pros: I removed my old cable modem that was about 4 years old the problem wa s that it kept on turning on and off when more then one person in my house would go on the the internet, Plug this on contacted comcast and im on the internet hasn't crashed yet. Cons: None after 4-6 months of using it. from Newegg.com Pros: Arrived Quickly, doubled my bandwidth (upload went from ~400 to ~1400!) as compared to my old Motorola 4220 Surfboard modem. Cons: Over a day without internet because Comcast had trouble activating it, but that's certainly not Newegg or Linksys' problem. Otherwise, the only complaint is the large and heavy power brick. from Newegg.com Works well! Cons: None that I can see. Other Thoughts: Linksys always seems to provide quality products. from Newegg.com Pros: Modem worked better than the old one that belonged to ISP. Called them with the MAC address and away it went. Cons: Linksys' so called rebate program. Too bad that doesn't work as well as the modem. from Newegg.com All you have to do is call your ISP with the MAC address on the bottom of the modem. Cons: Calling your ISP.....annoying Other Thoughts: Buy this to replace the "rental" modem you get from your ISP. Don't waste the 5-10 bucks a month on them. from Newegg.com Pros: all in one cable modem, router, gateway. my model had wireless too. from Newegg.com The installation was fast and simple. Just had a couple of wires, and one call to the internet provider. Cons: Linksys is really frustrating on the rebate. They will not honor it. from Newegg.com Pros: With Comcast and an iMac I went from 4 Mbps download and 0.3 Mbps upload to upwards of 10 Mbps download and 1.5 Mbps upload by changing nothing besides the modem. I previously had an old Com 21 and who knows what was holding it back. from Newegg.com then they will replace/repair it for you. Supposedly this modem is for 5Mb and less connecions. I was running 10Mb so maybe it was to much for this to handle. Or maybe i got the bad apple in the barrel. from Newegg.com Pros: affordable, stackable with other linksys routers and switches, and performs excellently on the downstream. Cons: my only real complaint with this modem is it causes latency when you upload data at your full upstream. from Newegg.com
