When I first used it, I didn't use a proper mixing bowl so the mix went flying a little, so I reduced the speed & it was better.

I purchased one of these mixers two years ago and the first time I used it, it quit right in the middle of making whipped potatoes for Thanksgiving.
I exchanged it for another, which worked for a year and once again, quit in the middle of using it.
