very powerful, heats so much faster than our last microwave; controls are relatively intuitive, easy to learn and practical; feels like its designed with the consumer in mind; beautiful looking
the controls do take a bit of getting used to - i often hit an autocook button when i want to do something with a timed cook, but it's just going to take a little time to get used to it.
the controls are similar which makes it easy to use.
many automatic controls.
easy to assemble, powerful, simple controls best uses:
i love that the controls are behind the door, so it's a very sleek look (although you can do a quick add-a-minute thing with the door closed).
part of what makes it so sleek is all the controls being hidden.
it's easy to use even though the controls are on the inside.
although we have no small children in our household, the safety feature with the controls and settings not available to be touched on the outside of the microwave is definitely a great feature.
it looks beautiful with hidden controls.
i would and did buy it again.i love the inverter power control.
seems as good as the sharp (which had controls hidden behind door) that died, except we like having the controls on front of door (door opening radius is more comfortable.
the control panel allows for many special food & cooking settings, yet is simple to master.
but it's also stupid, since there's no control over the power level.
controls are intuitive, operation is smooth, power is excellent, size is just right.
the 1100 watts power rating and the preset choices with sensor control, coupled with the turntable make it a great value, and the controls on the bottom makes it easier for shorter users to access.
the control pad on the door adds a nice touch, as does the undercounter light.
still, it cleans up nicely, doesn't scratch readily, and the controls are the simplest.
the controls are fairly straightforward and easy to use, and the owner's manual is written in a normal, comprehensible fashion.
the controls are intuitive and simple.
it runs well, and i like the controls, but the door is much flimsier than the previous model, and after a month i'm already having problems with the catch mechanism on the door.
looks good, good size, fits large dinner plate, easy controls, sturdy and efficient.
the controls are easy to understand and navigate.
we replaced a 1985 amana unit with this one; after 20 years, the old one seemed to have decreased from 1000 watts to about 850, and a power surge smoked the control panel.
i even like the physical start and stop buttons, versus the membrane type for the rest of the controls.
wife did not like size or complexity of controls size.
my only reservation is that the plastic covering of the control panel has already shown some bubbling.
pros: arrived in excellent condition, very quick to learn the controls, has bell volume control, clock has am/pm indicator
cons: control buttons could be larger
the control panel went out.
the control pad is easy to use and, although i was hesitant about the pop-out knob when i was choosing it, i have found it to be a very handy feature.
this is probably fine for many things, but for small quantities of food i think it's important to have more precise control.
also, the only controls i use are power level (just for defrosting) and the time knob, so i would know nothing about the myriad other controls.
the control pad is easy to use, and the pop-out knob is a nice feature.
there is a way to ensure quality control and consistency.
other than that, i really appreciate having the inverter and being able to truly control the cook temperature.
i like the simple yet functional control panel.
easy to clean, powerful, simple controls best uses:
the rotary control is very refreshing to use rather than the conventional push button panel, but it takes some learning.
attractive design, controls are wonderful, easy to clean, heats evenly, powerful, quiet, simple display best uses:
i like the fact the controls are covered up when the door is shut.
as had been stated, almost all of the controls are behind the door.
while there are other microwaves for over the range mounting (incorporating exhaust fans we did not need), the sharp was the only microwave i found with over the counter mounting and controls.
i find it hard to believe that they are unaware of huge orders for this 'board' that controls the digital display.
after a year the control panel went black.
at first the controls were a little confusing as compared to the older oven.
for the most part the controls are intuitive and are easy to use.
this is not an expensive unit but i think they could have done a little better on sound control.
however, i'm in the habit of using the numbered keypad for most of my tasks because it provides better control over heat and cook timing.i always use a microwave cover.
the new one is easy to understand, has a range of cooking controls for anything you need.
i love all the features, especially the power level control, although i wish the lettering on the controls was larger.(its tough getting older!) its hard to make out the start and stop buttons as
controls are easy to use.
with the commercial stainless steel outter case, larger green digital display, beautiful black door, substantial chromed metal door pull, and two-tone control plate, it's without a doubt the best

you can if fact turn off the "active light control ai" anyone who doesn't take the time to look @ the options within the menu doesn't have my vote!
it needs two control panels replaced.
cons: remote control is definitely of poor quality.
