However, the so-called stainless trim was a plastic sticker that arrived with bubbles and creases in it--not the look I had wanted. Could have returned it, but will use it in a rental home so probably not worth the bother. GE has lost their touch in consumer quality control. There was no metal inside the microwave so I am not really sure what happened.
