Not much to say other than it works as advertised and looks great. I couldn't ask for a better micro wave unit. This is my second Wal Mart Emerson micro wave in 20 years. That's what I call reliable. from Walmart.com It was from 1987. My wide and I decided we wanted a new one (the old one still worked like a champ). The Emerson broke after two months. I wish I had read the reviews here before buying. from Target.com But to be fair, it still works great as a clock, night light for the kitchen, or if you just need a useless, good looking appliance to take up space on your counter. I unfortunately require a microwave that also HEATS!! And the warranty- Sure, they'll warranty it- You pay the shipping there and back though, which amounts to not much less than what you already paid for the unit, and you're without a microwave until they fix it. I'll just send it to the landfill and buy another. from Target.com I bought this MW Emerson model, plugged it in, set the clock,set the timer for a minute and put in a pyrex cup of water to heat up. All was well, and the MW sat there for TWO minutes untouched, while I put a plate of leftovers together. from Target.com Similar to the other customers, our microwave quit working after 9 months. After talking to Emerson on the phone, they claimed that there was not a wide difficulty with this product, but seemingly there is. from Target.com Since this has low wattage, it takes about twice the time to cook food that are on directions. This isn't a surprise though as thats just how low wattage models are. However, when I ran it for longer periods of time (like 10+ minutes) it would finish cooking and then immediately shut down completely. The microwave would be REALLY hot on all sides so this was either a safety feature or just the inability to work when overheated. from Target.com The Emerson professional series microwave oven is a strong potential lemon. The Bottom Line: A wise purchase! from Shopping.com About a year and a half after purchase my son was making easy mac and it made the most aweful noise and died. It's since been retired to the appliance graveyard. This product was the worst investment we have ever made and will be mindful of Emerson products in the future. from Walmart.com I was warming my milk, pressed the 1 minute key, after 0.5 sec - phut !! lights went off and never came back on. As you may have seen other reviews on the internet about Emerson Microwave ovens, they only last for less than 1 year. So buy Panasonic and Sharp - They seem expensive at first but are cheapers in the long run. from Amazon.com
