This is my second Sharp microwave oven. The other one lasted for 23-25 years. from Ajmadison.com After researching many different models, I decided to order the Sharp R-520LW. I was hoping that the microwave would be white (i.e., not black as some other Sharp models) and fortunately, it was white. from Amazon.com We purchased this microwave to replace a very similar Sharp that we had for eight or ten years. It had begun malfunctioning by randomly stopping and by sometimes starting when the door was shut forcefully. from Amazon.com Bought this microwave to replace a 10 year old Panasonic that died. Works well so far. from Amazon.com No problems yet. We use it on average 5-10 times a day, and it has been easy for everyone to learn how to use. The last one we had was also a Sharp that lasted a very long time. from Amazon.com We had previously had a 1.1 CF Sharp Carousel so there was little that changed in programming.
