there are some minor design flaws: the front edge of the laptop is quite sharp.
the only challenge i had, and it was minor, was installing the ram upgrade.
only minor negative, and there may be an adjustment for it but the touchpad is tricky at times.
chassis - while it is a brilliant piece of engineering there are a couple very minor issues.
despite my minor complaints, this is a magnificent machine -- and miles ahead of any other laptop in terms of both beauty and functional design.
it has had a couple of minor hiccups though...but what i like about it is that the hardware isn't affected if there's a glitch in the software.
lack of a compact flash slot is a minor irritant, as sd cards are for gumbies.
there are a few other minor annoyances in windows compared to os x: the trackpad scrolling works but isn't as precise/smooth, and i can't seem to fully turn off the keyboard backlight.

i have been watching the internet message boards and up to this point there seem to be only minor problems since it's release.
then i had a minor accident (slipping on the ice in subzero fahrenheit weather) and the laptop crash-landed.
that is only a minor issue.
i love the new os - minor improvements and great functionality.
other than those two minor issues, which can be easily resolved by buying the mini dvi port adaptors or an external memory card reader, this computer is perfect!
i have had 9 computers in the last 22 years, and had only minor problems, but never one in which i had to take the computer in for technical help.
i gave this five stars because overall it is a great improvement from my black macbook even though i stated some slight issues that i had with the physical product and some minor annoyances.
nb: my windows complaints are certainly minor issues for some people since this is a mac, but some of us do like to be able to play pc games :)
