i love how the screen appears to float with no discernible transition between it and the black border.
to work on a larger screen, plugging into a standalone display turns the laptop into a desktop machine.
if this were my only computer, i'd probably be complaining about the screen size, but for my uses it is just right.
number one is the screen.
the screen is glass from edge to edge, providing rich and vibrant colors.
5 hours of battery life, i'm also running the keyboard backlight and screen on bright all the time.
- much better lcd screen!
used to brew a cup of coffee whenever i started or shut down my previous hp pc laptop.) i love the crisp, bright screen, and can't believe how much of a fan i've become of the illuminated keyboard.
booting the mac holding the letter 't' will make it boot to target disk (a large firewire symbol will float on the screen).
the screen itself is lower quality than the macbook pro's, but this just means that it has narrower viewing angles.
this morning after using the macbook at work and turning it off, i noticed several white "specks" on the screen, one near the camera, another 1" away from the left border at the center of the screen,
at some point while accessing the time capsule parameters to join the network, it will prompt you with a screen that says something like, "do you have any devices, firewalls, or routers connected to
the glossy screen--not a problem if you adjust it properly.
i was worried about the screen after reading reviews that said it was too glossy and reflective.
at first, i was concerned about the glossy screen, but it hasn't been an issue.
in fact whenever i am on somone elses laptop, i am always wonder why it is not clicking.lol.the glossy screen does not bother me, but then again i am never outside with my laptop, so no comment on
i also love how this laptop is so small and thin, much smaller next to most 15" laptops i've set it next too, including an older dell i have.
it is a solid body unit, with a gorgeous screen, backlit keyboard, and everything you could want in a laptop.
the first thing i noticed when i got it was how gorgeous the led screen was.
i am pleased with the screen size and i'm glad i choice to go with this screen size instead of the 13" the only thing i wish it had was a smartmedia, sd or xd port.
screen: i know many complaints are about the screen and it is indeed reflective.
i was worried about the glossy screen, but find that i love it.
the glossy screen is annoying at times, but when there's no light behind to cause glare, it's spectacular in color and clarity.
i do not see any problem with the screen being to shinny, i like it.
the screen on it is amazing and vibrant!
only regret : the screen does not open as far as the previous screens on powerbook g4s, so it is not quite as comfortable as a laptop (on you lap).
the larger screen gives me more than enough room to multitask (but it does not take away from the portability of the laptop).
the screen is beautiful, the new led displays are great, better color depth, more color, the laptop doesn't get as hot as previous versions.
it is lit by ccfl's, only the 1920x1200 upgrade screen is lit by led's.
the laptop itself is a beauty with an excellent screen and illuminated keyboard.
this is many times better with the large screen, full size keyboard, and of course mac os operating system means i don't have to have an anti-virus software that slows my computer down to a crawl and
for me, the mba replaced a thinkpad t-40, which has been as sturdy, consistent, and feature-laden as it is unattractive.
the screen is simply brilliant and far better that any screen i have ever seen on any other laptop i have used or seen to date.
it is fast, well-constructed and lightweight with a beautiful, clear screen, all of which are essentials for my computer happiness!
however i've held back in buying a mac because the smallest laptop at that time is macbook which is an inch thick 5 lb notebook and that is not portable enough for me.
screen very readable.
as apple has advertised, yes, the screen is at full brightness after waking the computer.
i have owned many laptops, mostly dell's and thinkpads (from both ibm and lenovo).
the screen, though smaller than the macbook pro, is much brighter and crispy.
the screen is absolutely beautiful.
5) screen - many complain that the rev b's screen has faint lines.
the battery life is no more than a couple of hours with the bright screen i prefer; 2.
next came the fujitsu lifebook with the clever swivel screen.
it is compact, yet with a screen just enough longer than the g4 laptop to make a significant difference.
the macbook pro it's just great for photogrephers becase it have an extraodinary wide screen and incredible image quality.
it has a nice size screen, not to big or small so that one can use it for just about any application.
it is one of the first laptops to feature a lcd backlit screen, which is better for the environment, brighter, and uses less power.
i must say that it has the absolute best screen i have ever seen on a computer.
for those of you that would like to connect your mac mini to your flat screen by mini-display port to hdmi port....
if you have been thinking about a mac and already have an lcd screen you like, give this great mini a try.
(with the old mini and the intel card i had to manually 'tweak' the screen to get it to fit).
i chose this model with only 1 gb of memory and smaller hard drive as i knew it would be used as a home theatre pc rather than intensive and filling computing tasks.
i've hooked it up to my sony bravia tv (1366x768 screen resolution) via the vga input using a mini-dvi to vga female adapter cable.
i had to drive to seattle's apple store to get a "mini-display port" -to- vga-female adapter to connect it to my acer screen, but once i did that it worked fine.
it is fast and the screen resolution at 1920 x 1200 is astonishing.
however, due to the increased screen size, the new macbook pro seems even slimmer (it actually *is* slightly slimmer than the g4 in case you wonder).
"the performance is almost shockingly fast, the screen is a major improvement, and the elegant design nuances from previous apple notebooks remain intact."
"apple's macbook...features a 13.3-inch wide-screen and a new color choice.

it is super fast, it runs os x and windows, it has a beautiful screen, and it feels great in my hand, and works perfectly.
it's way quieter than the thinkpad i used to have.
the brightness of my lcd screen is a tad dim, but when you use it all day you can hardly notice much.
but there's some bad thing that i've noticed, which is not apple fault, the dead pixel; the screen still got this old annoying problem.
much deeper than my and her thinkpad.
the screen is a marvel, 1920 x 1200 with lcd backlight.
screen resolution : 1280*800
