I have decided an advisory review is a good idea since upgrading from the original MacBook Air to the second generation after a year of use in March. My upgrade was to the hard drive version, still running at 1.6 GHz, but it seems much faster. from Amazon.com Please enjoy the logic: I bought an Apple laptop with an extended warranty. Also I've been using DOS-then-Windows since my first personal computer in the 80's; hating Gates & Microsoft all the time; it's so slow (on a 3GHZ CPU it still takes forever to boot up/down) and cumbersome (between WinXP & Norton half of my computer time is spent waiting for updates.) But the current version of MacOS is fantastic! This is not my primary computer, nor is it my "preferred" laptop, but for on-the-go meetings, class notes/presentations, weekend getaways, library research, etc -- it's just what I need in the lightweight notebook class.
