My 16 inch Toshiba fits in this bag very well, and the adjustable insert is almost pointless for a notebook of this size. There is a little bit of extra room, but nothing major (only about and inch). from Amazon.com the targus tcg200 is great if you have a 18" notebook. or a widescreen it holds it perfectly and is well padded. from Amazon.com The Targus TCG200 Messenger case was more than I expected.
