I realize now that I probably would have been fine with the non-PRO version of the teleconverter -- I'm not certain whether the differences between the PRO and standard actually justify the extra cost (unless you use Canon L lenses perhaps). But that is neither here nor there. from Amazon.com The lens is very good, however, no place in the ads did it mention that this lens was not intended for use with digital cameras. I discovered that the auto focus did not work at all well, but it was usable with manuel focus to some degree. from Amazon.com Cons: Auto focus gearing makes manual focus feel bad (Nikon mount version). The Bottom Line: For general use, you can't beat it at a sensible price. from Shopping.com
