My sons are 5 and 9 and we love the Didj. I like being able to add my older son's spelling words and math skills. from Amazon.com My 6 year old and 8 year old wanted this for Christmas, and we caved and got it. We figured it would be a great way to help the kids pass time in the car when we are driving. The theory behind it is wonderful, but there are too many issues to ever recommend the Didj to anyone. We purchased one Didj and immediately had difficulty creating the "footprint" on the computer. from Amazon.com I have a friend who works for LeapFrog and they sent my 7 year old daughter a Didj system and three games in return for our feedback. The games we received are Star Wars, Spongebob (her favorite) and Tiki Tropics. from Amazon.com We've had this for 9 months now, and while we haven't had any major problems I think we would have been better off getting our son (almost 8 when he got this)a Nintendo DS. My older children are now 11 and 8 and played happily with their Leapsters for several years. HOWEVER... 1) On Leapfrog's website LEARNING PATH would still show the year 9054 under "last connected" for the user (the name used for the second Didj purchase.
