although it looks great on my macbook pro and does the 'protect from scratches' thing, the case does hang up a little in the back making me wonder if eventually it will crack with numerous openings.

i received one of the original manufactured items as it had the flaw where one edge was 1-2mm too wide and it caused the lid portion to catch on the base portion when opening.
