i received one of the original manufactured items as it had the flaw where one edge was 1-2mm too wide and it caused the lid portion to catch on the base portion when opening.

i used a girlfriends nail file to smooth the lid edges and have had no problems with it at all.

i think everyone will have the same problem of the right hinge catching on the bottom shell, causing a loud snapping sound sometimes when you open the lid quickly.
