printed designs or the like between the laptop cover and the case if you want to personalize it and easily change it out, or you can skin the cover without applying stickers directly to your machine.
i have a speck case for my 15" mbp (2006) and it has protected the machine from innumerable bumps and scratches over the past 3 years.
by the way, for those who are 'into' the mac look (brushed aluminum), the clear case doesn't get in the way of the beauty of the machine at all.
i plan on buying another for a second machine.
i bought the mac book pro 17" and with all of that soft aluminum was concerned of getting scratches and marks in what truly is the best looking machine i have ever had.
i would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their machine looking crisp and new.
it keeps the machine cool and the thing2 sides where you can stick a few papers, pens or pencils while you are using it.
the cushion is a lot firmer than i thought it would be which is good plus it is plenty wide enough for his 15.4" machine.
i needed something that i could use that would be comfortable if i choose to do homework while sitting on my bed or sofa without worrying that the machine would suffocate if i sit it down..
this makes everything more comfortable and keeps the machine cooler, too.
4) my sony vaio is a heat machine..probably as hot as the sahara desert!
nice product and i'm sure will help protect my machine.
there is a little gap between the case and the machine itself, so i may find the need to remove the cover to clean it (as they recommend) monthly, as this gap may allow some dust and debris to get
fits your machine perfectly.
now granted for under $40 it's not as bad as it could be, but i still feel that i paid hard earned money for a product that was specifically designed for my machine.
it provides great protection for your machine.
if you want to protect your machine, i would recommend having this.
the lower part of the case towards the back of the machine has no hooks to hold in place so the corders seem loose sometimes.
some of the base clips on the sides of the keyboard tend to rub your arm if your arms are placed around the lower corners of the machine.
3) even after trimming the case, as recommended on the speck website, the bottom part of the case still doesn't secure completely to the laptop (although this could be specific to my machine).
i looked at the shieldzone product, too, but realized it would not protect the corners of the machine, which are most vulnerable to scratching.
it is easy to remove for periodic cleaning, unless you wish for debris to scratch and tarnish such a beautiful machine.
it keeps my machine fingerprint-free and i appreciate the thin plastic extra layer of protection it offers my machine (even though i know its not going to protect it from a fall or anything)
used together with a reliable laptop bag, this case offers added protection; i have very few concerns transporting this very expensive machine on the job.
took less than 10 seconds to put on the machine.
no need to worry about bumps or scrapes once snapped on your machine.
