i don't have the extended battery so i can't speak for how it'd fit (although i suppose since it is elastic it would fit an extended battery), but with the regular battery it fits like it was made
i bought this case for my dell xps m1330 which i typically use with the extended battery and it fits very nicely even with the larger battery which gives the laptop a height of 2in at the back.
there is one zipped pocket in the fron that can hold your mouse and battery and cord but it is very tight.
it fits my toshiba satellite u405, even with the extended battery which sticks out in back.
the sleeve itself just barely fits my bulkyish hp pavilion tx2500, which is 12" but has a protruding battery, and i also managed to cram in my targus cool mat.
the battery pack fits in barely, if i want to carry anything else it usually means i have to resort to a back pack (fortunately i have one of those too).
i have a 15 1/2 inch laptop, but i ordered the 17 inch case because my laptop has a battery that sticks out about 3 inches from the bottom of the laptop.
the laptop and battery charger fit perfectly in.
the plug in sony battery does make the case a little bulky once you put it in, but that shouldn't keep you from buying this case.
i am going to order a second battery and a travel plug set and that may be a tight fit but i bought this bag for the look and comfort not to carry a ton of stuff though to be honest i am confident it
fits the inspiron 1721 perfectly even with the upgraded battery.
battery charger
lithium battery charger
i carry my canon 5d mark 2, 2 lenses, battery, charger, mac book pro and a whole bunch of other notepads, pens and stuff.
cons: hard to fit pc notebook when battery grip is on and with an extra zoom lens.
includes a very handy little bag for power cords/ battery.
it is the perfect size for my 15in laptop and it conviently fits all of the acessories (i.e mouse and battery pack).
no real issues with this bag but if you are using a bigger battery on the 15 inch laptops then you will have to put the front end of the laptop down into the bag.
first, i have a dell 15.4" laptop with a 9-cell battery.
on the inside there is room for a power cord, extra battery, and a notebook.
the colors are really pretty, and a mini case to hold your battery comes with it.
i still have length beyond the end of this lens to hold my battery charger within a separate compartment.
quality, versitility, cushioned inside, lots of storage used battery red flaps and weather protection of your gear.
i love the modular system you can add on to, and also the battery memory card pockets with the red flaps to distinguish between new and used is ingenuios!!
pick one out that suits you, just make sure you measure your laptop so you get the right fit (mine has an extended battery).
it comes with a seperate removable pouch for your power adapter or battery.
extra case for battery to keep laptop from scratches.
i could not, however, keep a charger or spare battery in the bag, because it is too small and bulges outward.
the external pocket held my iphone, itouch, a 3g juice rechargeable battery pack and charging cable, my blue tooth headset and charger, an hp 12c calculator, my ear buds and car keys.
this bag is durable...well padded...and has more than enough room for my instruction manual, mouse and battery charger.
my laptop is a lenovo x200 with a 9 cell battery.
the only thing is that i'm not sure how it will fit if/when i get an extended battery for my lenovo x61!
this product is wonderful and i was very happy to see that my laptop fits perfectly inside, even when i have the extended battery on, which was very important to me and something that i was worried
what i used it for was the new 13.3" hp dv3t w/9-cell battery.
very functional, cheaper, good quality, i am using with a hp laptop of 12.1" perfectly because the battery of this laptops usually is out of a 12" sleeve.
given the long life of the battery in the macbook, and the lack of space for the wall adapter, this sleeve is perfect for light use away from home.
i was nervous that it would be too snug, because of the 9-cell extended battery in the back.
i was a little concerned because of this laptops awkward battery that protrudes from the back of the laptop about three quarters of an inch.
easily fits a dell studio 17 with the extra large 9-cell battery and goes great with the spring green color.
the only inconvenience is having to take the case off to exchange batteries (if you are a mobile user with an extra battery).
getting the bottom off for battery replacement is a pain, but worth the effort for protection provided.
it has enough depth to accomodate the expanded 12 cell battery on my hp laptop.
i used the case all the way until about a month ago due to buying an extended life battery that would not fit inside the confines of the case and the case still looked as if i had bought it yesterday.
my ibm (lenovo)thinkpad z61t with the 7-cell battery fits just right.
you have to pop the bottom portion off in order to change the battery if you have a spare, but after the first few times of doing this it comes off pretty easily.
the only problem i could potentially foresee is getting to the battery but it is easy enoug to pop the bottom part right off.
