This cover is hard molded plastic with a very thin 'soft touch' coating. from Amazon.com This looks good on my computer, but makes it weigh quite a bit more and hurts your wrist when you type with it on (sharp edges). I would suggest buying one a little more expensive if you can afford it, if not then this one is good for the money! from Amazon.com
