I wanted to be able to safely shove my laptop in my backpack. This was a perfect size for my 14.1 inch laptop with a pocket big enough for the cord. Only one thing I don't like the straps at the side. from Amazon.com The external length of this slipcase measures less than 14.1", so it is obvious that the inside dimensions are even shorter, which I discovered only upon receiving the item. As a result, my Dell Latitude D830 I just bought two months ago, and which measures in at exactly 14.1" long, stands no chance of actually fitting inside. from Amazon.com Fit is excellent for a 14.1 screen laptop, just zips up without any stretching.
