Best Mac KVM Switches for Ps/2

the small remote button is a nice feature, i just sit it up by my monitor and tap it to switch.

i use the inbuilt vga/dvi switch in my monitors to switch video sources since it's cleaner that way.regardless, i bought this kvm because i have a usb keyboard and mouse.

i was dually pleased when i realized the usb (which is marked as keyboard and mouse) was actually a pass-through connection- i have a logitech g15, the one with the small lcd and it allows both

i bought this so that i could use it with my desktop & laptop & be able to use the same monitor & wireless keyboard/mouse.

initially, i just wanted a monitor switch and found the whole keyboard/mouse bit more than i cared for but now i am used to it.

plug the shared keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers and microphone into the switch, connect the included cables into the switch and the two computers.

i use screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 on all the systems; the switch works fine with all.

handles all video modes i have thrown at it, including strange widescreen modes & modes for dell widescreen display, laptops.

uses the monitor/usb combo cable so it keeps the cables to a minimum, i like the fact that the audio cables are separate as i have 2 servers on this thing and it keeps the number of wires down.

this appears to be supplied on the monitor connections, so all monitor inputs must be disconnected to reset, and that can be a royal pain.

other thoughts: so far i have an intel based dell laptop running windows xp and an amd based self-built pc running windows xp working with a vizio 32" 1080p hdtv/monitor using the full 1920x1080

other than the monitor is not 100% (a little bit of interference from the kvm) this unit does exactly what i wanted it to do.

i'm using a dell 17'' lcd display and the dell keyboard and dell mouse.

no flickering or interference on a 1680x1050 lcd.

i have it right by the monitor, so the push button to switch works for me fine.

it does not support 2560x1600 resolution without digital artifacts sparkling all over the screen.

consi bought this to go with my dell 30" monitor running at 2560x1600...

prosit works with dvi-d monitors.

you can download software from the belkin website that will allow you to switch between computers via an icon on your screen.
