I have spent a couple hours on the phone going round and round with Belkin trying to get this switch replaced because I got a DOA piece. I finally got a Person Within Belkin to tell me that this unit is no longer a part of there product line and they cannot send me a replacement. from Amazon.com The remote arrived DOA, did not work. Called Belkin and they told me 20 business days to get a new one, must send the defective (out of the box) remote back first. They also told me this is a discountinued unit. from Amazon.com Then went back to the first port, and that one also worked now. Used it for about and hour and it worked well, but then I found out that when I stop using it for a few hours (turn off the tv) and then try to turn the TV back on, I no longer get a picture (black screen - not blue, so it does stay connected), and the only way to get it back is by disconnecting and reconnecting the cable. I wrote to Belkin about it and they just said I should replace it, but after 2 faulty ones I'm not sure a 3rd one will make a difference. Perhaps my cable box uses a greater HDMI version, couldn't find what versions this one supports, but it's very frustrating. from Amazon.com My HD TV only had one HDMI input. Therefore, when I got a Sony Playstation 3 to use for HD movies, music and games, I couldn't use an HDMI cable to hook it up to my TV since I already had my HD DirecTV DVR hooked up to the TV. I bought the Belkin switch as a much cheaper alternative to getting a TV with multiple inputs or a new receiver with multiple inputs. It works great! from Amazon.com cable tv box input(which had a dvi port on the box, and i used a dvi to hdmi cable into this switch), both coming into the switch, with the output to the one hdmi port on a sony bravia lcd tv. from Amazon.com i placed it behind my lcd tv and put the remote ir sensor just behind the glass of the tv stand. from Amazon.com this little thing is amazing, it does exactly what it claims and the build quality is superb. from Amazon.com i switch back and forth between hdtv and the ps3 with ease and no sacrifce on picture quality. from Amazon.com turn on device 2 and click the remote to device 2 (b), tv will display the image. from Amazon.com i get great hd quality! from Amazon.com
