This KVM switch installs in a snap and runs with most combinations of mouse/keyboard I have tested. However, for some unexpected reason (maybe it uses USB 1.0?) it causes serious lags of mouse and keyboard when browsing with Firefox or using programs that make use of the Java Virtual Machine. I ended up plugging it only when I know I am going to work the whole day between my PC and my server, otherwise the lags become very annoying after a while from Compusa.com Overall this is a good 2 port KVM switch. I like the integrated cables, makes the unit compact and sturdy. from Compusa.com That said, it's a cheap, reliable product that does its job well. One caution though... take note that this product uses only 1 USB plug for each computer that it's hooked up with. Cons: Does not allow switching devices through a hotkey combination. from Newegg.com Pros: Sells for very cheap bought it for $15 with free shipping Cons: Video output is distorted, displays with a weird slight shadow effect which is hard to describe, but gave me a headache using my PC. It is especially noticeable in Excel. To make matters worst, anytime I plug in a USB device in such as a flash drive or anything else into any USB port on my PC - either the flash device gives me an error or I lose my mouse/KB connection from the switch and need to reboot... it has some odd feedback or I just simply got a defective KVM. from Newegg.com Economical. Cons: Only challenge is that at times there can be a little lag for the mouse to be recognized on the Dell.
