The switch and cables worked right out of the box!!! Connected and running in 10 minutes No problems with cable box, ps3 and sony lcd. from Buy.com Having read the review by 34Rod done Mar. 08, I was very concerned having purchased a Toshiba HD-A3, HD-DVD. I have an older receiver that doesn't handle HDMI, and my TV (Samsung LCD 1080p) only handled two HDMI inputs, but I have a DVD player, a Tivo HD, a PS3, and a computer with HDMI output. The switch worked fine when I had all of the components on a rack next to the HDTV with 3 foot cables connecting the components to the switch and the switch to the TV. from Amazon.com My main concern when buying this was that it would degrade the picture quality. The tv I am using is a 32 inch Olevia 232V (I think) LCD (only 1080i). I haven't really been able to tell if I have lost any quality because different HD channels are different quality and depending on the show...etc. But as far as I can tell, I can not see a difference. from Amazon.com
