This switcher works very well for my purpose, which is to simply switch s-video and stereo audio inputs going into my flat-screen TV. The hookup was intuitive (didn't need the manual) and both the remote and manual switching functioned flawlessly. from Buy.com Great price Looks sharp Feels durable Works well Comes with a remote (the only video & audio switcher that comes with one without spending hundreds to thousands of dollars!) Universal remotes (with the learning feature) can be taught to control this wonderful device from Buy.com i purchased this for my parents since they got a 42" monitor that didn't have standard plugs on it to plug in all their devices only had one set of rcas and svideo. from Buy.com this switcher works very well for my purpose, which is to simply switch s-video and stereo audio inputs going into my flat-screen tv. from Buy.com when i received this unit (arrived the next day) it was a 5 minute job to install and it worked perfectly. from Buy.com the video component inputs on my samsung lcd were apparently fried and are not working. from Buy.com the set up took only a few minutes. from Buy.com other thoughts: installed saturday, on monday i have an intermittent dimming of the tv picture on all inputs. from Newegg.com Bought this product 2 weeks ago for less than $20 (free shipping)and it's just perfect and so far no issues...does serve the purpose.
