bottom line i think it helps with my carpal tunnel, which is why i purchased it for.

i don't know if it was the carpal tunnel syndrome.

i was beginning to have some real problems with carpal tunnel syndrome; pain, itchy palm, and more.

and with carpal tunnel syndrome that occasionally lets me know it's still hanging around, comfort is the first thing on my mind.

i was having carpal tunnel issues with the default aluminium keyboard that comes with the imac.

i've had carpal tunnel release surgery on both hands and often have problems still...but switching to this keyboard and mouse has greatly lessoned any symptoms.

the tradeoff is that you have a nice palm rest to protect from carpal tunnel strain etc..

microsoft (hiss, boo) actually makes the most comfortable "ergonomic" mouse i've ever tried (and i have at least half a dozen "ergonomic" mice sitting in my office - i switch them on a regular basis

mouse took some getting used to but is helpful for carpal tunnel symptoms.

i thought i shouldn't chance it and end up developing carpal tunnel, so i bought this keyboard in hopes that it would relieve my pain.

i came to realize that it was the keyboard itself that was distracting, though the split key design might help with carpal tunnel, it just was too awkward.
