I've been a faithful user of the Logitech trackball line for about a decade now... I find they are much more accurate and I like the added ease of not having to have a mousepad and other desk clutter, and being able to use a mouse easily when traveling without having to use the touchpad on the laptop... from Qvc.com I've used this Trackball for years and they are much better then a typical mouse. Lost the one we used for years in a recent move, out of desparation I bought a regular mouse YECH! from Amazon.com This is my second Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman and I do not know of a better product that does what this does. I would suffer if I had to use something else. from Amazon.com I loved the mouse when it was working but for some reason after a few months windows stops recognizing the device as a mouse. It just shows up as an unknown device. I'm very computer savvy and I have gone through all the troubleshooting with Logitech to determine that it is defective but logitech won't honor the 3-5 year warranty unless you have the original purchase receipt.
