Now, it's collecting dust & taking up valuable space while I try to get it to operate. I've tried everything. Share this Review: Review?3?for?Natural Ergonomic 4000 USB Keyboard Overall: 5 [RATINGOF] 5 Reviewed by: femtigerlion Location: Sacramento, California Duration of product use: Less than a month Level of expertise: Good Title: Great Product Date:?July 8, 2009 Pros:?Connecting with Friends, online classes ReviewI really love my Microsoft 4000 keyboard because my fingers never felt better with straight keyboards. Although it types a little slow, I can hardly feel it.
from Dell.com
Pros: comfortable ergonomic design, many new function buttons Cons: on the expensive side, and the letters wear off easily The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an ergonomic keyboard and don't mind spending a bit more, the 4000 may be what you're looking for. Review: I bought the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 about a year ago, when my wife began working from home.? She wanted an ergonomic keyboard, and from the selection at Best Buy, this looked like the best one.

Microsoft made another crap!! Similar to the review on 4/13/2008, this keyboad causes computer to malfunction.

Cons: It wasn't free? and now I can't use a regluar keyboard without hitting a bunch of other keys... After 1 1/2 years the start button, V & 1 key stopped working but all I did was call Microsoft and they are sending me a free replacement. Now I have to use this crampy regular keyboard until my replacement gets here.

Pros: I've reviewed this before, and as of last week, I've loved using this keyboard. Just recently though, it had died, and I called Microsoft and they sent me a brand new keyboard free of charge! Thing is, I got it as an openbox w/ mouse for 20 bucks.....and it apparently had coffee spilled on it after farther inspection after it died.

Looks great. Built well. Cons: Doesn't have next track, previous track, or stop buttons like my old Microsoft keyboard did. I can probably assign them to other buttons if I install the keyboard software, but it's not a big deal.

Second keyboard lasted another 8 months and same issue. So seriously... Microsoft could do a little better with the quality. Other Thoughts: Like I have stated it is a the best keyboard you will get for the price if you do allot of typing .....
from Newegg.com
Pros: Very slick design, comfortable keys, and amazing wristpad (hardly any pronation thus barely any constraint on your wrists!). Also, multiple function keys! Cons: My volume keys don't work (but then again I just bought it, so I'll look further into it or call Microsoft). Other Thoughts: This keyboard is quite unique.
from Newegg.com
Pros: Overall excellent keyboard. Has a more natural shape than other ergonomic keyboards and has an overall nice feel. Much better than Microsoft's previous ergonomic keyboard and does not have the annoying repositioning of arrow keys/page up and down that many other ergonomic keyboards have. Cons: There are some buttons on it that are fairly useless like the zoom wheel in the middle which probably should have been a scroll wheel.

Your typing speed will drop drastically from having to remove a hand to hammer down the space bar. All the keys are fairly soft and quiet except the space which can almost be heard from another room when its forced to go down. How microsoft sleeps with their name on this is beyond me. This one key is so bad that there is noway this design was never tested after first assembled or it would not have gotten a green light.
