it seems like a lot of these reviews are written by beginners who are reviewing the practice of juicing itself, rather than reviewing the machine for which this page is all about.

We all know we should
be eating more fruits and vegetables, and for many of us, making
fresh, wholesome juices is an enticing option. If you're in the
market for your first juicer, take a little time to familiarize
yourself with the products on the market and what they offer.
There
are a few simple features to consider. First, look at the size of the
juicer's feed chute. If the chute is too small, you'll have to cut up
your fruits and veggies before you juice. A larger chute that can
accommodate whole fruits and vegetables is much more convenient.
The strength of your juicer motor is very important; don't be tempted to skimp for a weaker motor. You'll spend more later -- a weak motor won't juice your fruits and vegetables as well and will probably burn out before long, which means you'll have to replace it, buy a new juicer altogether, or go back to slicing and dicing.
Juicing a tomato won't take as much speed or power as juicing an apple, so for variety's sake, a juicer with multiple speeds is a worthwhile investment. And lest you go juice-crazy, remember that you'll want a juicer that's easy to clean. When your juice party is over, the pieces should come apart easily and be safe for your dishwasher.
