After finding a few wonderful juice recipes that use organic carrots, we now make our own juice every morning. The other machine has been wonderful but decided to retire it to weekend use/vacation and pick up this one when it came on sale. The first thing you will notice about this little Omega juicer is the size - it's probably half the size of the Waring juicer yet holds more fruits or vegetables. The next is the quality...the "spin wheel" which does the cutting is very noticeable thicker, heavier and more solidly built. from Amazon.com I was looking for a good budget juicer. The basket is slanted and open, so you can rinse it out faster than the older juicer style with a "basket" that's harder to reach in and place a filter or dig out the fiber. from Amazon.com Not diswasher safe, can warp the plastic parts. I found this out the hard way, after I put it in the diswasher, the plunger swelled up and no longer fit in the chute due to the high heat of my diswasher. One is this one and the other is the L'equip mini. This model is newer so it didn't have as many reviews, so I couldn't decide.
