i have used rowenta steam generator irons in sewing classes, but i prefer the delonghi iron to those, it has much more the weight, feel and look of a commercial iron.
i had always been interested in the steam generator irons and finally took the plunge this fall--i bought a rowenta pressure iron and steamer, thinking that i couldn't go wrong with a rowenta product.
i had to wait over two months to get the iron, but it is nothing compared with the comfort and pleasure of ironing with it now.
it takes a bit to get used to it, but once you do - it's a great iron.
i love steam generating irons but had a bad experience with my prior iron.
this is a very good product, and you can get it, along with any other products on amazon up to $500 free!
this is a great product, and you can get it, along with any other products on amazon up to $500 free!
maybe there is something better out there, but what i like about the product is that it holds a lot of water and gets fairly heavy and the digital feature is easy to use.
i love the digital display and it gets super hot and the shot of steam works great> i have not had to use the vertical steam feature yet but it will come in handy.the auto shutoff is a good feature
the b&d2030 is easy to use and cut my ironing time down (i was using a very old iron)- it provides plenty of steam to get out the tough wrinkles.
this iron can really get the job done.
i was very excited to get it and it does perform beautifully.
the sole plate, in particular, is quite nice - it has a well laid out abundance of steam holes, a unique tip that really helps get into corners well and the anti-drip feature works well on lower heat
people have experienced trouble with its longevity, but as a family we iron on occasion so hopefully we can get 20 years out of it.
so far it has been a delight and i especially love the pointy front that gets into those hard to iron places on shirts and pants.
i can't seem to get the sleeve to stay down flat to press, as it bunches up, and eventually had to end up ironing them with my other iron.
i get burned on this thing more than i ever did with a iron...there is a art to working this thing and it takes awhile to catch on.
i was really excited to get this product.
like any other new interactive product, getting the results you want takes reading the manual and practice.
i am a guy who is always in a rush and needs to get casual and dress clothes done quick and and looking fantastic and this machine does it!!!!!!
it heats up in no time, and it gets hot!
i use that tobi like on tv and let me tell everyone it is a piece of junk all it did it got my clothes wet and got tired of pumping the button to get it to steam.
i don't think it's necessary to get the bigger ones.
however when i tried steaming my cotton dress shirts, it took forever just to get a couple of wrinkles out.
there is a silk table skirt that we love but it was impossible to get it home from the cleaners unwrinkled - esteam to the rescue.
i went back to a corded iron and was satified with it but that darn cord kept getting in the way.
i would recommend it to anyone who gets frustrated with a corded iron.
took a while to get in the habit of setting it back on the deck instead of sitting it on it's end as with a corded, but no big deal.
of course, there is a process to follow with these types of irons, but once you get into a groove, it's a snap.
this iron is very light weight, has enough steam for basic ironing, and best thing is the cord does not get in the way!
our last iron (of a little over a year) died unexpectedtly, & we had to get a new one.
it definitely gets the wrinkles out and i like the steam button.
selected for it's titanium soleplate which cleans easily if you get fusible web fused onto it instead of fabric or the ironing board cover.
it is quite pointed and really gets into tight spaces.
it does a great job getting wrinkles out, and the point on it is narrow enough to fit between buttons.
believe it or not, they will not hold it against me for getting them an iron.
won't get into converting this lamp to us standards, adding a touch dimmer, sanding and painting and all that, my challenge was to wash and clean that shade with 25 years of dust on it and to iron it.
i'm lucky if i can get two years from any product.
and all the clothes i have ironed so far have come out great and it did not take any extra effort to get the job done.
i don't have to worry about the cord unwrapping and one of our cats getting a hold of it.
overall, while not a perfect product, i have not regretted purchasing mine and as long as you know its limitations, you will get good service from it.
it protects the iron and you so you don't get burned while its cooling off.
it gets very hot on the highest setting but even if replacing the iron on the cradle every time, by the end of ironing a full garment, it does not keep the high temperature.
i feel like i'm having to press down hard on it to get rid of deep wrinkles in some fabrics.
you need to give yourself a little time to get used to it.
i really like this steam generator system.
you get far more value for the money with this unit than the mainstream consumer products.
this is a no-frills commercial grade dry steam generator.
it feels good in your hand and it's pointy tip gets to small places.
it gets hot enough, and i like the bigger base for better stability.
the only feature that i have trouble with is no "off" switch, but you just have to get used to the automatic shut off (and the blinking light indicates when the iron is off).
takes some getting use to the large sitting base.
the base is heavy and sturdy which prevents tip over, but the power cord unfortunately can easily get hung on the corner of the base during use.
just like any good product, it is worth it to pay more to get better quality.
we iron regularly and appreciated our first rowenta iron, definitely getting our moneys worth out of it.
so far i am very happy with this iron, it is easy to operate, and does a great job of getting out those stubborn wrinkles.
it is a robust, sturdy iron that puts out alot of steam; ironing seem to get done a lot quicker.
if the iron gets too hot for the setting, the indicator turns red (but this has never happened as it holds its setting well).
the touted 1/2 second startup time is right no, and man does it help in getting those shots that come about and are gone in a flash.
i work in a dusty enviroment, my cameras on many occasions get bumped and dropped - they get a lot of use and abuse.
i am still getting familiar but from what i can see, we will enjoy this camera for years to come.
the bottom line: recommended - not only by the domestic god, but by guest star german granny as well!
i'd like it to get a tiny bit hotter, but i think that's the way all the irons are now.
get this iron ...
it doesn't get as hot as rowenta, but it does get hot enough.
it is the best steam iron i have ever used.....can't believe how it gets the wrinkles out of even the toughest cotton shirts......
i love this iron, it gets hot enough but does not burn clothing as long as you follow the instructions.
it heats quickly and does a great job getting the wrinkles out even in jeans.
i honestly believe that at this price point, you can't get a better iron for your money.
i'd never tried a t-fal iron as i usually get a black & decker on sale at kmart whenever my irons start to leak or just burn out.
* the connection cord has a swivel mechanism where it connects to the iron, eliminating the problems of the iron getting tangled up in the cord.
where my old iron failed (wasting energy and effort) to get the wrinkles and creases out, the d6000 quickly took care of it.
i don't really get why this is such a bad thing in other reviews because the iron really glides easily on most fabrics; i couldn't even really feel the weight at all!
i am impressed with the new black and decker iron: recommended if you are fed up of getting a tired arm from ironing.
the steam option can be turned on or off, but when on it automatically lets steam out which generally eliminates creases.
i always hate ironing and i hate it when the cord gets in the way.
i wear a lot of very heavy material wrangler type shirts and pants and it handles them just fine and with no cord to get in the way.
perhaps veteran ironers with years of experience, and who don't get the cords tangled may prefer an old fashioned steam iron.
i would definitely recommend to everyone that is looking for an iron to get this one.
i normally steam all of my clothes to get the wrinkles out - but when i starch my husband's collars i use this iron.
i quilt, so i need a good iron that gets hot and produces steam.
it broke (after a fall on the floor) so we went back to get the same a couple of days ago.
its heavy and sturdy, the digital screen bright and easy to see, it has auto shut-off and the cord doesnt get all twisted and tangled.
it's great to be able to get steam from such a small and lightweight iron.
bought this little iron in hopes that our little generator would power it when we head out on the road.
for our needs..was pleased by the ample length of the cord, which made it easy to use without an extension cord on most occasions..had a little trouble getting the steam function to work evenly..
we took this on a recent cruise and it worked great for our needs..was pleased by the ample length of the cord, which made it easy to use without an extension cord on most occasions..had a little
the iron worked well-the button to fold the handle down is a little difficult to get to and the handle did not stay latched into the clip at the bottom very well, but overall it works great-does as
it is powerful enought to get out tough wrinkles.
this little iron gets really hot on the high setting and has a powerful shot of steam.
bought this little gem for a cruise we were going on.the ship did not provide irons in the staterooms.
i love the fact that you can push the steam button and get an extra burst of steam whenever you need it.
