it's easy to use and performs with the expectation of a more expensive iron.
i am not sure what it does to the iron if this is not done in this fashion but it is kind of cumbersome to do it every single time and would tend to forget this standard operating procedure :-)
for the price and it's performance, i would say run for this iron!
heavyweight/quality feel to it and the 'burst' of steam functions like no other iron we have ever tried or owned.
it is a wee bit heavier than my former iron, but: it heats up unbelievably quickly, the glide is so smooth that it almost travels by itself, and the spray function and the steam are fabulous.
i intend to further review this magnificent piece of functional sculpture just as soon as i remove it from the box...which will be the next time i have to iron something....which will be sometime in
this iron doesn't live up to my former b&ds performance, it far surpasses it.
the iron functions really well.
the steaming function is phenomenal and best of all; the spout where you fill the iron with water is flawless.
i am happy with its performance and i recommend it to anyone out there.
the steam function is also good.
the only downside for my wife was that it was a little heavier but the steam performance, sole plate slickness and maneuverability is superb, beating out tefal and rowenta among others.
you can even do it while it is on (although it states you should shut it off first) i have had no leaks and no stains from water on clothes while using this so far and the steam function is the best
it performs the basic functions flawlessly -- excellent temperature control, abundant steam, shot of water, vertical steam, etc.
my best advise is to read, understand, and follow the operating instructions.
the product is fundamentally flawless - i have never owned an iron more functionally satisfying!
excellent item, i don't know if this is the best ever, but must be very close, very happy with this product, no issues with the cordless function in terms of becoming cold too quickly
the iron is just the right weight and the steam function is excellent!
i've never been enamored with the steam function of any iron i've owned.
i've been using my panasonic cordless iron for about 6 months now and am entirely pleased with the performance.
best iron i have ever used strengths: powerful steam function, digital, stainless steel plate, time saving weaknesses: heavy summary: this iron is magical.removes wrinkles in one time,so it
i like that it heats up very quickly and the steam function works well.
update 02/07/07- this iron is still functioning great!
the steam function is great!!
the iron works very well and so far i am pleased with its performance, although i have not used it extensively.
the water tank is a little small for this type of iron, you'll need to fill it up everyday (although we do use it 2-3 times in the mornings).it's a great iron that performs exactly as expected!
compared to my former irons but i quickly got used to it, and it is a little wide and barely fits into my iron holder on the side of my ironing board, but otherwise in performance i really like it.
i've owned a cheap generic iron with the most basic function, and honestly you get what you pay for.
if it keeps up this high performance..
this iron has changed my sewing operation significantly.
that being said, i am very pleased with its performance and it does fine job on ready made pants as well.
i worked in a laundry and dry cleaners when i was in college so i knew the principle operating techniques of this item but it still takes practice, to learn positioning of the items and to keep from
the steamfast sp-660 table top steam press performs exactly as we thought it would - very well, cutting the ironing time by as much as 50%.
the optional steam capability works great.
i would estimate that this product has cut down ironing time on all items by at least 1/4 and i truly appreciate its performance.
the sf-680 was my first experience with a steam press and the product functions as specified and seems to be a very good value.
approve) i would not recommend that practice while using this device, unless you either do not intend to use the steam function on this device, or you have the same skin thickness as an elephant.
dont use the steam function--- use a spray bottle.
my only advice to new owners is: this is one time you really need to read the operating manual carefully!
this d 5500 iron is no exception, it performs very well and the price on amazon was outstanding.
the product is great and performs as well or better than described.
the good news is that the spray / shot of steam functions work really well, and can make short work of the wrinkles you make while trying to iron.
this iron performs well; however, there are some minor annoyances.
then the steam function dribbled off the court, so to speak.
for our needs..was pleased by the ample length of the cord, which made it easy to use without an extension cord on most occasions..had a little trouble getting the steam function to work evenly..
this iron is a little champ, lightweight, easy to use and performs as well as any full size iron.
we took this on a recent cruise and it worked great for our needs..was pleased by the ample length of the cord, which made it easy to use without an extension cord on most occasions..had a little
i don't know how this iron performs if you like or need very noticeable creases (e.g.
i've used it for several hours now and am pleased with its performance.
i've not had an opportunity to use the vertical steam option but with the stellar horizontal performance of the iron, would assume it to be satisfactory, at least.
i am very pleased with the performance of this iron.
i first used this iron at my daughter's and was impressed enough with its performance, that i decided to purchase one for myself.
i have had this headphone model for about ~1 year and i still pleased with its performance.
performance comparable to much more expensive irons i've owned, and with better durability.
the steam blast function smoothes out wrinkles instantly.
the steam function works really well and i think the detachable water holder thing is brilliant.
the design, functionality, packaging and features are excellent.
neither of these affects the operation of the iron, but i was slightly disappointed when opening the box.
its retractable cord function eases winding up the iron area and is safe.
works great, heats up fast and has several steam functions and what i like best is it has the retractable cord.
the steam function works great and i love that i can select to have steam or dry iron at the flip of the thumb.
i adore the push button functions.
good value and good performance.
the shot of steam function is powerful and i love not having to mess with a cord.
the steam function is the best i have ever used...costant steam when wanted, super powerful steam bursts with a touch of a button.
three stars is bearable, and i believe that's the lowest rating this iron received, whereas, not actually being useful when you're under the gun (say, a job interview in twenty minutes and you need
this is a great iron..i got it mainly because of the cordless function...yes ..havin no cord to maneuver helps....but really not that big a difference as i do have to keep reheating it on the warming
it's a nice-looking, sleek iron with excellent performance.
the digital functions make it foolproof to iron.
more functions also make it more useful (i like the spray option).
the top of the handle also has two buttons that control the spray and shot-of-steam functions.
i did not go to target, kohl's, and bed bath and beyond and compare it to other similar models and find it to be economic as well as functional with solid ratings -- the best out of other irons in
i have owned 3 in the last 10 years and they all gave me the same fine performance.
i have owned much more expensive irons than this and have become frustrated with their performance.
the steam seems to function when the iron is held upright, yet doesn't provide adequate steam in the horizontal position (used when ironing).
also the steam button is very difficult to push both horizontally and vertically, so much so that i stopped using the burst of steam function (which i like to use a lot).
