although the iron does a good job, i don't like two things about it.
in two days it arrived and i am very pleased with this iron.
i am male, single, and although i have little to iron, i use it regularly, two or three times a week.
i had a rowenta and it broke for the second time within two years and i needed a new iron.
i tested it on a silk blouse that two other irons (one of them, the much-ballyhooed t-fal aquaspeed) could not get the wrinkles out of, and the black and decker made short work of it.
i had to wait over two months to get the iron, but it is nothing compared with the comfort and pleasure of ironing with it now.
after two days the iron was dripping copious amounts of water, regardless of the settings, and i realized it was defective.
i bought a euro pro steam generating iron and after about two years it stopped steaming.
a jet of steam over the pesky ants..and then i sweep them up along with the leftovers from the previous night..killing two birds with one stone..and i still have enough steam to make a cappucino
i was somewhat hesitant about purchasing the delonghi 300 ironing system because i've had two rowenta steam systems.
i've owned two other t-fal irons in the past and i really like the gliding surface and the shape of the iron.
when i bought my first t-fal, i figured it would last a month, maybe two.
i've had two rowentas, but i like this one better.
on the other hand, i plugged in my large steamer, and within two minutes, it was puffing steam so hard, wrinkles disappeared before your eyes in seconds.
it takes about two minutes for it to heat up, and one minute to steam a shirt.
well, maybe more like two and a half.
although some have had concerns about refilling the tank (not a problem as long as you are careful about letting off the pressure) during use, one filling can go through two whole long days of work.
the boiler unit has two on-off switches: one for the boiler itself and one for the iron.
there are two things that i don't like.
i got my new shark steamer two days ago.
the iron was placed on back order so we had to wait about two weeks.
it only takes one or two strokes and your shirt or pants are ironed.
i swore that after that iron broke in less than two years, i would never spend that much for an iron.
i've had it for about two years now and it works as well as day one.
cons: i have noticed a dribble or two from time to time when transitioning from upright to iron position.
the blast of steam, when held upright goes out about two feet from the iron with considerable force.
i purchased this iron several years ago and was quite surprised to browse the two e-mails and see negative comments.
when i bought it i was skeptical at that time i had two older irons i was using.
two features i like are the burst of steam and the spray.
i am going to have to be fair and rate the iron better than most of you guys did because it did a wonderful job as long as it was working and it did last almost two years.
this the second steam iron i have gotten and although i liked the use of the first one i spent all my time filling it and could only iron maybe two pices and then had to shut down and fill it again.
where i used to iron one or two shirts at a time, i now iron five or six.
after reading the reviews, i bought, and two days later i had it out of the box and ready to go.
two things - the o ring was torn on the tank valve (out of the box)-- the valve you screw into the water tank.
unfortunately it lasted less than two years.
it works very well and has 10 vents in a two line configuration to put out a good volume of steam.
i've had it for almost two years now, and it still heats up and works.
i pressed clothes that have been waiting to be ironed for two years.
two weeks later the retractable cord mechanism broke.
i've had mine for almost two years and it has the problems that all steam irons have.
