I love my new Panasonic cordless iron. I do a lot of sewing. from Amazon.com I JUST HATEEEE TO IRON AND I VE BECOME A PRO @ IT. i WORK FAR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE AND I HAVE NO CHOICE OF DOING IT MY SELF, AS A MATTER OF FACT I VE DONE IT SINCE I WAS A TEENAGER AND STILL HATE IT. A FRIEND OF MINE HAD A PANASONIC IRON AND I BORROWED IT AND I ENDED LOVING IT (IT WAS NOT THIS MODEL, IT WAS A CHEAPER ONE) AND I DECIDED TO BUT ONE FOR ME. from Amazon.com My mother needed to replace her cordless iron so I did research on Amazon and came up with the Panasonic NI-L46NR as the one I thought would meet her needs, so I decided to purchase one for myself as well. I love it!! from Amazon.com I do. Anyway, I am a perfectionist and have been searching for the best iron. Well, I have found it in the Panasonic NI-L46NR. First of all cordless is the only way to go. from Amazon.com This is a great iron..i got it mainly because of the cordless function...yes ..havin no cord to maneuver helps....but really not that big a difference as i do have to keep reheating it on the warming plate...which works really well..hence u have to have the base unit around always...one good thing is i can use it even on y curtains...and valence sheets...the steam is excellent...powerful like no other iron i have had this far..its also light and comes in a nice cute box to store... If i had to change one thing ..that wud be to not have to reheat it every so often... from Amazon.com - but i got over that quickly - and "how much steam"....all very good, honestly....even speed-pressing-dirty-teenager-denim-jeans-in-the-morning-when-everyone-is-about-to-be-late - they press great. from Amazon.com the first of your two questions are inevitable "it is it heavy enough" beware - if you want a heavy heavy iron this ain't it - but i got over that quickly - and "how much steam"....all very good, from Amazon.com it produces much more steam than my previous iron and the water well is very easy to fill and reattach. from Amazon.com it is very convenient,powerful and not as heavy as normal iron. from Amazon.com great iron for the money, so compact and easy to use..so glad i bought it.. from Amazon.com
